Does this actually work — or is my dog just going to pull them off?

Honest answer: it works, and staying-on is about applying them right. Clean, dry paw → press firmly for a few seconds → let the adhesive set before they walk. Most dogs forget they're on within a minute.

Some dogs are chewers or pickers at first. If yours is, distract them for the first couple minutes while the adhesive sets, and apply after a walk or meal when they're calm. Once they're settled, they stay put.

Do they stay on if they get wet? And how long do they last?

They hold through normal indoor use. They're designed for indoor floors, so we don't recommend them for wet grass, rain, or swimming — heavy water loosens the adhesive (that's also what makes removal gentle). Each pad lasts through normal daily wear; most owners get multiple days per set, depending on how active the dog is and how many paws they're doing.

Is it comfortable? Won't it pull the hair on their paws?

They attach to the paw pad — the smooth, hairless part on the bottom — not the fur. Applied there, there's no hair to pull. They're ultra-thin, so your dog moves naturally; there's no bulky boot to walk out of.

Can my dog still spread their toes? Is it safe?

Yes. The pads sit on the individual paw pads and flex with the paw, so your dog can still splay their toes and grip naturally — that's the whole point: traction without restricting the foot the way a stiff boot does. As with anything new, supervise the first wear and make sure you've got the right size.

My dog is big, old, or already scared of the floor — will it work?

This is exactly who it's for. Senior dogs who've lost confidence on slick floors, big dogs whose weight makes every slip scarier, post-surgery dogs who need footing — the grip pads give traction regardless of size or age.

Can I use them outside on concrete, grass, or hot pavement?

They're built for indoor traction, not outdoor protection. For rough concrete, hot asphalt, or wet grass, a boot is the right tool. Think of Paw Protector as the fix for the indoor slipping problem — the hardwood, the tile, the laminate hallway your dog dreads.

How do I get them off?

Gently. The water-release adhesive means a little warm water loosens them and they peel off without yanking fur. If one's stubborn, dampen it first rather than pulling dry.
